OUR MISSION

At Yellow Dress Ministries, our mission is to change the way poverty affects a child’s life. We do this through our scholarship program where children can receive an excellent education, thereby providing hope for their future. Through our sustaining ministry, poor children who normally have nothing will be given an excellent education.

Poverty

What is poverty? Poverty is defined as the state of being extremely poor. It is an extreme lack of finances, food, education, and resources. People in poverty lack the necessary capabilities to meet the standard of essential living. In poverty-stricken countries, they are deprived of any opportunity to succeed in life, let alone have their needs met.

Why Honduras?

Honduras is a poverty-stricken country.

Children in this country are placed at a severe disadvantage from the time they are born. Poverty affects them in multiple ways, including malnutrition, health issues, and lack of education.

With these disadvantages, it is common for children to be compelled to choose a life of crime when they grow up.

They are often subject to a life of poverty on the streets, and many families are left becoming victims of violence, through the pressures and involvement of gangs and drug cartels. Due to a lack of food, resources, help, and education, poverty leads many children in Honduras down a destructive path of hopelessness and destitution.

Our mission is to save children from becoming victims of an impoverished country. The cycle of poverty will continue until help and hope are brought in. At Yellow Dress Ministries, we are actively breaking the cycle of poverty, but we need your help.

We believe change happens best from within a system, and we have set up multiple ways to directly get involved. Whether you feel called to join us globally through mission trips, locally through our events, or by donating online, we provide a way for you to use the skills and resources that you obtain to truly make a difference in the world.

With Yellow Dress Ministries being a nonprofit from the United States and created within Honduras, your contributions go directly to the YDM organization, thereby ensuring that all proceeds go toward helping children in need.
